Patient:innenbeteiligung

Would you also like to contribute your perspective and experience to medical research?

That’s fantastic, because we are looking exactly for you. It makes no difference whether you have ever been involved in research or are familiar with the technical terms. The important thing is that you have your own experience – either as a person directly affected or because you care for someone who has had a stroke.

Their experience is invaluable when it comes to orienting future research towards patients and finding solutions that are patient-oriented and relevant to them.

What can such participation look like?

  • You can advise on the development or interpretation of studies
  • You can help to make the often complicated results accessible to affected people
  • You can provide suggestions as to which aspects have not yet been examined in sufficient detail

Have we aroused your interest? Then please use our Contact form and write to us.

What happens next?

There will be quarterly meetings. These can take place on site in Berlin or online. You do not have to be based in Berlin. At these meetings, you will learn more about patient participation. We will also present current projects to you. You will also find out which projects you can participate in and in what form, the approximate amount of time involved and whether an expense allowance can be paid in this project. You can then decide whether and in which project you would like to participate. Participation is of course voluntary and can be terminated at any time.

The following meetings are planned for 2026:

11. Mai, 13. July, 14. September and 9. November, at 6 pm respectively. The meetings will take place online.
